LOCTITE 638 is a high strength, fast curing, general purpose
retaining compound.

LOCTITE® 638 is designed for the bonding of cylindrical
fitting parts, particularly with narrow bond gaps
approaching 0.25 mm. The product cures when confined in the
absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and
prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.
It not only works on active metals but also on passive
substrates, exhibiting robust cure performance. The product
offers high-temperature performance and good oil tolerance,
and tolerates minor surface contaminants.

LOCTITE 638 ist ein Fügeklebstoff, der auf allen Metallen,
einschließlich passiver Metalle hohe Festigkeit bietet. Das
Produkt bietet hohe Temperaturleistung und gute Öltoleranz,
eine Handfestigkeit von nur vier Minuten und erreicht eine
Spaltfüllung von 0,15 mm bis 0,25 mm (0.006" to 0.01").
LOCTITE 638 toleriert auch geringe Verunreinigungen von
Oberflächen, z. B. durch Industrieöle. Das hochviskose
Produkt ist ideal für Wellen, Zahnräder, Riemenscheiben und
ähnliche zylindrische Teile. Die Betriebstemperatur liegt
zwischen -55 °C und 180°C (-65°F to 355°F). Erfüllt die
Anforderungen von KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 für
Wasserstoffgasmischungen mit bis zu 100 % Wasserstoffgas.
